Off-Grid Stand Alone Solar Power Systems Australia
If you’re looking to go off the grid with a stand alone solar system in Australia, or just want to get more out of your current system, you’ve come to the right place. Our Off-Grid specialist team have a wealth of experience, in the field designing and installing a variety of standalone power systems for a range of client requirements.
We design off-grid solutions to suit any application, by using high quality modular technology that’s flexible and scalable we’re able to meet any customer requirements. All our stand alone systems are built ‘future proof’, meaning we build with adaptability in mind, as things change your system can change.
In this modern era, nearly everything we use is dependent on reliable, affordable electricity.
But with astronomical price rises in recent years, failing energy policy and infrastructure, there’s no better time to go off-grid or sure up your current system (future proof).
- Make your own electricity from solar
- Store it in a high-performance battery
- Enjoy never speaking to an energy company again or paying a power bill.
If you live in an area with unreliable power, or if you simply want to be more self-sufficient you might want to consider installing a stand-alone/off-grid solar energy system.
We can help if you’re:
- A first-time solar power buyer who wants to learn what’s involved in going off-grid.
- An experienced off-grid pioneer who would like a second opinion and or needs a quality off-grid installation or upgrade.
- A business owner looking for ways to reduce your carbon footprint and save money on electricity bills.

What is an Off-Grid Stand Alone Solar Power System?
An Off-Grid solar power system also known as a ‘stand-alone’ system functions without any connection to the main power grid and is therefore a complete self-sufficient energy supply on-site.
It can be used as your main energy supply or backup power supply, or it can be used as an alternative energy source for many applications where power reliability is crucial.
These systems can be installed anywhere but usually installed in remote locations or where the main power grid is further away including homes, cabins, farms and even islands.
Off-Grid is also very popular where frequent power outages occur, failing infrastructure due to heat, storms or other natural disasters which often damage electrical infrastructure leaving it temporarily unavailable for use by residents and businesses who heavily rely on it for their daily lives.
Off-grid Solar System Components
Solar Panels – Ground or Rooftop
The solar panels capture the sunlight & converting this energy into DC electricity.
Charge Controllers
Directs and controls where the solar generated DC electricity goes, either to the storage batteries or inverter. The charge controller regulates the amount of power sent to the batteries (battery bank) ensuring the batteries aren’t overloaded but fully charged. Also sending this DC power to the inverter where it’s converted to AC electricity to operate modern household appliances.
Off-Grid Battery Bank(s)
A crucial component that’s feed by the charge controller and stores all your excess electricity. The size of storage capacity depends on each individual situation and the amount of electricity needed. The battery bank consist of rows of batteries with enough storage to cover electricity usage when the solar panels aren’t producing (nights etc).
Inverter(s)
The inverter or inverters (depending on the system size converts the DC electricty into AC electricity which is usable for modern household consumption, appliances.
Backup Generator
An optional component that is a backup for your off-grid solar system in the extreme case that your battery bank (storage) is depleted due to unforeseen circumstances. A generator ensuring you have all situation covered & electricity is always available.
